Shigofumi Episode 01 Released
An unusually long wait for episode one, we know, but a slew of crappy raws and the desperate hope that BS11’s digital broadcast would deliver sexylicious HD goodness brought many a delay. Anyhow, we’ve made do with the raws available and should hopefully be pumping out all further episodes at a faster pace. Or not, as the case may be. Whatever the case, think of the final outcome as a surprise. That way you’ll be happy either way.
Anyhow, enjoy, or continue to die inside at the lack of Gundam 00!

Anyways, this is only a test to see the responses… It appears that most people are indifferent. Some people hate it because they refuse changes or anything different from anything you’ve seen whilst some like it…

Great sub overall. Only complains I have are the speed of subs (for everyone on this show, really) and the inconsistency in the ED karaoke.
Of course, the latter is pretty minor. It just irks me when I see the words staying on screen for the first half of the OP, then disappearing into thin air the moment the styling changes.
As for the font, I was able to adapt to it pretty quickly, just like the font used for ef – a tale of memories. Great job guys!

Great subbing so far. I was curious…are u guys planning to bring out a DVD version? I have a feeling later on in the near future, people will REALLY like and want that X_X;

Thanks for flying Menclave! As for a DVD version, for the time being we haven’t decided on anything. As you can appreciate, the majority of the typesetting (read: 99%), is done in After Effects, so shifting and resizing various overlays for a DVD version would require a huge amount of work for our typesetters. Nevertheless, that doesn’t mean to say we won’t put out a DVD version, we just need to consider the circumstances at the time.
Once anything has been decided, we’ll be sure to make an announcement.
Cool, sounds good. Yeah, I under about the hectic work… cuz places I read complain about the censorship this and that hoping for DVD versions etc. It’s a good anime, after all.

I never became in charge of recruitment. I’m just suggesting to a fellow anime fan to try something if he has such and such skills and abilities and if he has the time and the sheer will power to do so.

Ah~ and a DVD release of Shigofumi would be very nice indeed considering the amount of censoring that they’ve done in light of recent incidents that occurred in Japan.
I wouldn’t mind it AVI format~ it’d be easy on AMV making~ (Sorry, just me blurting out xP)
